Adrián Navarro (Boston, USA, 1973) presents a new solo exhibition at the Galería Maior; artistic proposal under the title 'Luz Blanca', is made up of recent works of different formats made between 2020 and 2021. Adrián Navarro paints in two tempos: constructing a joyfully chromatic, gestual and “atmospheric” backdrops, seeking more lightness than density, and then superimposes a white texture a veiling which doesn’t want to hide the incident, but on the contrary, to generate a sensation of “mystery.”[...] This painter weaves the references to the organic as a kind of computational allegory, the physical and objectual remain literally veiled in a whiteness which fractures the grid pattern.

Adrián Navarro knows that we belong to the age of the fury of the images, when the dystopias we contemplate in TV shows like Black Mirror end up being con rmed by everyday life. Against the tsunami of viral banality, beyond the pornography of images, this painter presents an an aesthetic of the veil, asserting that pleasure is more often than not found in complexity. [...]Adrián Navarro highlights that his paintings don’t have a “total reading,” that is, they invite us to inhabit a vibrant surface, traversing the fantasies of the gestural-digital layers .

Adrian Navarro’s work is part of public and private international art collections such as UBS Bank, Circa XX (Colección Pilar Citoler), Fundación AENA and Caja Madrid.
